Duties and Responsibilities

- Lead end-to-end New Product Development (NPD) from concept to commercial production.

- Develop and review product designs, 3D models, technical drawings, and customer specifications.

- Coordinate with customers for new product development, design modifications, and technical discussions.

- Ensure timely development and validation of new moulds, samples, and production trials.

- Work closely with Production, Quality, Tool Room, Printing, Assembly, Purchase, and other cross-functional teams for successful product launches.

- Identify opportunities for product improvement, cost optimization, and value engineering.

- Resolve design, tooling, and manufacturing-related technical issues.

- Prepare and maintain NPD documentation, BOMs, product specifications, and engineering change records.

- Monitor project timelines and ensure timely completion of development activities.

- Ensure compliance with customer requirements, GMP, BRCGS Packaging standards, and other applicable quality requirements.

- Drive innovation by developing new cosmetic packaging solutions and enhancing existing products.

- Coordinate with external tool makers, suppliers, and development partners.

- Conduct product feasibility studies and Design for Manufacturing (DFM) reviews.

- Lead and mentor the Design & NPD team while driving continuous improvement initiatives.

- Hands-on experience in Injection Moulding, Plastic Packaging, Mould Development, Printing, and Decoration Processes is essential.
Specific Skills
AutoCAD, SolidWorks and/or Creo. Educational Requirements
- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Plastic, Polymer Engineering, CIPET or an equivalent discipline.
- 15+ years in the Plastic Injection Moulding industry, preferably in Cosmetic Packaging, FMCG Packaging, or the Automotive Industry.
